In addition to regular work with conductor John Wilson, Paul has worked extensively for singer Gary Williams ( www.garywilliams.co.uk), and dozens of his arrangements can be heard monthly at the "Matthattan Nights" dinner dances of the Royal Garden Hotel ( www.royalgardenhotel.co.uk ), overlooking Kensington Palace Gardens in central London ( view a brief video clip). Paul produced and arranged artist Susie Young's debut album “Promises” in March 2006 (to order, click here). Paul also produces all of the sheet music arrangements of the Getty hymn library, available online at www.gettymusic.com. In October 2005, he orchestrated a children's musical by Linda Kirby, commemorating the 200th Anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, which was performed at the Wimbledon Theatre.

Paul is a graduate of the Royal College of Music, where he studied trumpet with Paul Archibald, Andrew Crowley and Malcolm Smith, jazz piano with Charles Beale, classical piano with David Ward, arranging with Ken Hesketh and John Wilson and conducting with Neil Thomson. As a performer there, Paul sat under many prestigious guest conductors, including Sir Roger Norrington, Andrew Litton and Martin André, and also played Principal Trumpet for one of Bernard Haitink's regular visits.

Paul has also worked as an arranger and orchestrator many other ensembles such as: The New Scottish Orchestra and Choir ( www.newscottish.org ), the African Children's Choir ( www.africanchildrenschoir.com ) , the Adoramus Orchestra ( www.adoramus.com ), Brass 10 ( www.brass10.com), Golden Sounds Productions, Tadlow Music ( www.pragueorchestras.com ), New Voice Music ( www.newvoicemusic.com), Flippin Eck music and the RCM's education ensemble, 'The Elastic Band' ( www.rcm.ac.uk ). He has an ongoing creative role in the events and concerts of New Irish Arts ( www.newirisharts.com), both as an arranger and performer. He is the founding musical director of the New Irish Players, and conducted a run of 'Chess, The Musical' for the Imperial College Music Theatre Society (February 2005). His work with professional brass ensemble, Brass10, included the London premiere in St. James' Piccadilly of an original composition, the I Witness Fanfare.

He has been very happily married to Susie since August 2005 and they have recently set up home in Northern Ireland after living in London for over six years.
